Goodnight from Sammy on Family on Sunday, June 14th, 2015

Leap of Faith

Good evening friends.

It’s great to be here with everyone.  We hope you all had a nice weekend.  Day 154 in Puerto Rico today, man does time fly by sometimes.  I say sometimes because when life hits us with the tough stuff  it sure doesn’t feel like time flies then. So staying humbled  has to always remain on my dashboard.

Thank you for all the anniversary comments today, our 2 year anniversary is actually tomorrow on June 15th, my apologies for any confusion on that.   I was telling Vanessa i miss some of my friends back home today, so she said why don’t you pick up your phone and call them and say hello.  I was like, oh yeah i can do that.  It’s amazing how the obvious can be so unseen sometimes.  With that said it does seem as we get older people connect with each other less and less, truth is I’m not in love with that notion.

So this Wednesday we have a great feature coming up on the Good News Channel with a married couple traveling the world called the “Wanderlusters”  — Real nice people, so that is on Wednesday.  Next Sunday, a week from today we are running a featured story on The Good News Channel about the one and only “Esther the Wonder Pig”…..

At the beginning of 2015 I said to our ELS family I am making a strong push for The Good News Channel to be the central part of our community and we’re still committed to that.  When I say that, it includes all of our Sammy & Family stories also. Through the development of ELS over the last 3 years we’ve  come across so many people do amazing things all over the world its seemed right to share those stories as well.

OK lets close with two positive notions tonight.

1. What will I trade a day of my life tomorrow for so that I am happy about it on Tuesday ?  If you don’t know the answer to that, at least don’t trade a day of your life for something you know makes you unhappy.  That’s just not intelligent and everyone I’ve spoken to and communicated with on ELS is intelligent.

2. I know I’ve been pounding the Vanessa drum lately with the 2 year anniversary coming up tomorrow, but its applicable to this notion.  If I didn’t  keep an open mind and open heart I would’ve never been on Instagram communicating with another animal lover in Puerto Rico who also happened to be my age, and on Instagram what is the likelihood of that ? And if I didn’t do that I would not be living in Puerto Rico today with 5 dogs, an angel for a wife and more importantly my best friend, and a new father who could be the nicest man on Earth.  And to extrapolate this out even further, one of those 5 dogs named Jeffrey also took a leap of faith and has a whole new life,  a life of love and hope.  Think about all the positive domino effects that took place here and how many lives were positively effected.  Sometimes we need to take a leap of faith, and most certainly we need to keep an open mind and open heart.

Sunday with Patreeko

Poppy Sunday

Good morning friends.  We gave Patrick a little adventure yesterday.  This was his second time being on a plane. His first plane ride was to get to Puerto Rico and his second plane ride is right here at the mall.  This plane actually does Not fly in the air in case anyone is confused about that.

Nonetheless on fight “Destination Anywhere” Patrick had the time of his life.  Which reminds of that song “Time of my life ” in the movie Dirty Dancing starring Patrick Swayze who we named Patrick after.

It’s funny when you tell stories how eventually all things merge into one and a Patrick runs through.  Those words were just taken and twisted from the movie “A River Runs Through it”  — As you can see this is going to be a very A.D.D. kind of Sunday.

Remember friends,  Sunday is our favorite day of the week.  Its the one morning we let imagination in the door and back into our lives. On Sundays we get to be us again, the people we set out to be from the very beginning.

Like Father, Like Son

Like Father, Like Son

Good morning friends.

It’s great to be here with everyone.  Another gift life offers us today.  Happy Life Day.  Henry is illustrating a depiction of where the slogan; Like Father, Like Son came from.

I have to give Henry “The Soldier of Love” a lot of credit, in the midst of his loyalty and regal presence, he still finds the time for a little sense of humor.

Happy Saturday.  See you tonight.

Good enough is good enough

When Good enough is good enough

Good evening friends.  Welcome to the weekend.  It was nice participating with life on June 12, 2015.  My little man came to say goodnight to everyone.   Sammy is great at knowing when things are good enough and just to enjoy the moment.  He’s been teaching me that for 10 years now. Sometimes we need to just let time stand still.  Man Friday showed up right on time as usual.  Its great to be home with Vanessa’s, Papa Jorge and our 5 dogs.

OK, let’s close out with two positive notions tonight.

1. The week is over, what’s done is done.  Time to relax and rejuvenate, not to ruminate, but rejuvenate.

2. Anyone trying to be perfect will live a miserable life.  Anyone just being themselves will live a happy life.

Curious Sammy

Curious Sammy

Good morning friends.  Its great to be here with everyone on this Friday morning.  Sammy can be very curious at times, its a good thing the keys weren’t in the ignition because he would have definitely driven off.  And to his defense, hes a very good driver.

Ok friends, 2 positive notions to start the day.

1. Today I want to do something that makes me happy, whatever that may be.  I don’t want to just robitically float through my day, I want to enjoy it.

2. Don’;t let the fear of doing something make you do nothing.

Happy Friday friends.  See you tonight.

Thank you life for showing me the path to happiness

Thank you God for my happiness

Good evening friends.  What a great day in life this was today on June 11th, 2015.  I want to thank all our friends who reached out to me in time of need and I hope I put some wind back in your sails.  Many many people did this for me when i was down and out.  So thank you friends for confiding in me.  It never leaves you or I, ever.

I thank God everyday for my new family.  The odds on this happening were slim and none, and slim left the building years ago.  I could feel some of our friends rolling their eyes and saying here goes Scott on one of his happy rants again. It’s true its getting a little repetitive, but after 4 decades of being miserable, not only am I am happy, I am happy about being happy if that makes sense to you, it makes perfect sense to me.

I want offer all my friends in ELS that i love dearly the realities of hope.  I swear to God and on Sammy’s life, I was in the top 100 most miserable people on Earth.  It didn’t matter what i had or the nice gals and guys in my life, when i returned home each night, I was the most miserable lonely person on the planet. I literally could not stand being with myself for one second alone.   And the odd thing was, intellectually and in reality i knew I was a nice guy. But I was spiritually bankrupt, and no people or cash and prizes could restore my spiritual bankruptcy.

I thank God everyday now for removing the blinders i had on my eyes obstructing the obvious gifts that sat right in front of me.  Today I do not feel empty, i feel solid as any other happy person does.  And a result of liking myself and not feeling like a piece of _hit, I can understand that i deserve Vanessa, the sweetest gal on the planet who also at 47 has the greatest body that ever lived, lol.  What’s the point Scott you are rambling narcissistically ?  The point is that if a person like me, the most unhappy person on Earth for 40 years can have a spiritual awakening and give up the war for happiness, anyone can.

So despite the 960 i got on my SAT’s and graduated high school number 267 out of  a class of 275, eighth from the last, I manged to knock down many walls to get to #Happyville.  And because of that gift given to me, I want to give back to anyone who needs it.  And what’s my fee ?  Zero.

As people served me in darkness, I have an obligation to do the same.  I can say with complete confidence, I don’t have the GPS to the happiest life, but i do have the GPS out of pain and suffering and a great shot at happiness, and I am living proof of that.  Sammy & Family is here for anyone at anytime If you need a little pick me up which we all do from time to time.  My email is; smith7024@yahoo.com.   My name is Scott Smith, formerly the most lonely person on Earth.

Signing off from Puerto Rico on day 151, Sincerely, Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
