Vanessa, You complete me

Vanessa you complete me

Good evening friends.

This is my wife Vanessa Martinez. I know you have seen this picture before, but you have not heard this message.

We are the perfect example of “Opposites attract” — Other then our devotion and love for animals, we have nothing in common. Not one thing. But she finds me sweet and entertaining and I find that i have no clue what is going on life unless she is around. I have said this before, but as a man we have to acknowledge it again, she is 47 years old and has greatest body in all of Puerto Rico. Oh yeah, and she’s accountant, but that’s secondary to the body, lol.

She’s very level headed, I am not. She thinks things through, i shoot and aim later. I was an accounting major but we really cant call that something in common… Why ? Because i never practiced accounting one day in my life. She’s been accountant for over 20 years. The only real accounting experience i have is when i walk into H&R Block and tell them i need help with my tax returns. They usually respond with, what part of the Return is troubling you ? I let them know the part that asks to spell out my name.

OK, lets talk a little Hanky Panky now, do sometimes i wish she keeps the door unlocked when she goes into the shower ? You bet i do. Does she ever leave the door unlocked knowing i am like a teenager in 46 year old man’s body, Nope. Not once has she forgotten to lock the bathroom door. But at the end of the day, whether i get into the shower or not, I know she’s my girl and has my back. And for that, i pretty much would throw someone through a window if they messed with her.

Its a pretty simple life strategy for me, I want to be with my girl, and i want to be with my dogs / pets. My goals and aspirations are no bigger that.  Well lets not forget about the Frozen Snickers i want to hand out for free on the beach to complete strangers talking about; light, dumb and breezy stuff, the dumber the better.

So how did a guy like me a girl like Vanessa, sometimes life just throws you a gift, and sometimes you have to just say” Thank You” — In words of Jerry Maguire; “Vanessa Martinez, you complete me”

Poppy Tuesday on August 25th, 2015

Poppy Tuesday on August 25th, 2015

Good morning friends.  Happy Poppy Tuesday.  A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Everybody deserves hope.  So little Pops came to with everyone a great day.  As you can see here we were in the middle of a photo shoot and just couldn’t quite get the shot we were looking for.  But we did get him to smile and whats more important then that.

Remember, If Pops can do it, we can do it.  Life was completely stacked against him and now its completely stacked for him.  How great is that ?

OK, lets kick this Poppy Tuesday off with two Positive Notions.

1. There is a great chance today is going to be a great day.  Saying that invites that energy into your day.  That’s what Positive Thinking is all about.

2. I am committed to not being perfect because I want to travel light and be happy. Trying to perfect makes me unhappy.

So friends, have a fantastic Poppy Tuesday.

Katie a brave young girl to be admired

Katie and bullying

Goodnight everyone. I hope that your day went well, and that everyone has arrived home safely for the evening.

Tonight I want to talk about bullying, one of the worst epidemics taking place amongst our children to date. Bullying is a vicious and poisonous act. It can destroy a child’s confidence and it can have lasting traumatic effects throughout their life. As many of you know, bullying can be subtle but it can also be very severe. Any way that you look at it,  bullying scars the spirit of an innocent child.

Recognizing that your child is being bullied is not always easy either. Victims can become very withdrawn and very depressed. When being bullied,  it can be so difficult for a child to see any way out. Many times they are even too ashamed to discuss it with their own parents.
Bullying can strip a child’s self esteem away, and it can silence them. It can make them afraid to go to school at all. In today’s times, it has also gone beyond the schoolyard, now that cyber bullying has been introduced. The level that this bullying has come to, is truly incomprehensible. In very severe cases, tragedy has ensued and some victims have taken their own lives because of it.  We have also seen incidents in the news, of former bullying victims taking the lives of others, as well as there own.

The seriousness of Bullying has become more recognized and many school administrations throughout the country have implemented a ” No Bullying ” policy. Still it doesn’t seem to be enough yet.  More needs to be done to stop this. We cannot allow this to continue happening to our children. This is why we must get involved. If you see a child being bullied, or if you see that your child is bullying someone, get involved. There must be consequences for bullies to deter them from repeating this. If they know that they have been identified, and that they are being watched, they may think twice.  Once the bully is confronted by the administration as well as the parents, if the behavior continues, it is my opinion that the bully should be expelled from the school completely. The rights of the innocent victim need to be protected.

The beautiful little girl you see in this picture , is an angel named Katie. She is a very sweet and very loving child that lights up the lives of Her Great Aunt, Kathy Tracy and her Mother Brandy. She touches the lives of everyone that knows her with her kindness. Katie is also Autistic. Her Great Aunt Kathy is a very beloved friend of our Everybody Loves Sammy community. Kathy and Katie’s Mother Brandy have seen the effect that bullying has had on Katie this last year that she was in the 5th grade. It has been devastating. Katie was repeatedly bullied and even hit in the face by another student at her school. This is completely unacceptable. As the mother of a special needs child myself, Katie’s story really hits home for me. It hurts so much to imagine this sweet girl suffering in any way. My heart goes out to the whole family.

The situation at Katie’s school seems to have calmed down because of the involvement of her loving and supportive family, along with the school. This is a family that saw what was happening at school and spoke up right away. We want to send them our full support. We hope and pray with them that things are peaceful for Katie this coming school year, and that the children there will show more understanding and compassion for others.

Kathy Tracy shared this with us tonight because she wants to help with any parent or child who is going through this. She wanted to send a message to all to make everyone more aware that these things are still happening,  and to say how much we need to teach our children to be more loving, tolerant and understanding of others. To treat others the way we want to be treated ourselves. We thank her for Katie’s Story.

Stay as sweet as you are Katie, and don’t let anyone get you down. You are beautiful just as you are.

With love ,

Social Media Consulting

Hello friends.

As most of you know I have been extremely involved with Social Media these past 5 years. I am an expert in creating content, writing content, managing content and knowing exactly what platforms to distribute content most effectively.

Outside of my own Social Media communities I have consulted with other people on creating a community, maintaining a community and growing a community. If you should need consulting, look no further, this is what I do and what I love. My rates are very reasonable.

You’re Free Right Now

Good morning friends.   Today’s message is; “You’re Free Right Now”  You can watch video below, or you can read text version just below the video ….. Your choice;

Dr. Harp Seal here.  Thank you for stopping.  OK, today we are going to help those people who felt lost with someone else.  we have all been there and that’s OK.  But when it continues to hinder us from being happy and moving forward, some tools need to be applied.  So lets rewind back to childhood for this example.

Do you remember when we first learned to ride our bicycle with training wheels ?   Now do you remember when your parents took off the training wheels and held the back while you peddled ?  The next stage was when your parents stopped holding onto the back and you were riding alone just fine.  However, when you looked back and saw they were not holding on, you  immediately fell to the ground. So its the same thing in your life  now, you’re already cruising on your own, there is no reason to look back.  Its already gone and you are already fine, you just have to be aware of it.

Have a great day.

A Legacy of Love

IMG_3765

Good evening everyone. Sunday night can be a challenging one sometimes. With the week ahead and the weekend behind you , it can be overwhelming. It’s hard not to think about Monday, but we would enjoy Sunday’s so much more if we did our best to just relax and stay in the moment. Enjoy every moment of this night of rest. No matter what this week holds for each of us, we will face it head on and just do the very best we can.

I want to take a moment to say a prayer for all of you out there who are going through difficult times. Sometimes we suffer in silence. Sometimes for many of us, it can be difficult to even open up to the people closest to us. Sometimes even just talking about things can be too painful. I pray that each of you going through this are blessed with peace. Peace of mind and heart. I pray that all of your burdens be lifted and all of your pain be healed.  I always try to keep in mind that everything in this life is part of the ultimate journey that we’ve been put on this earth for. All that we have to commit to is to never give up. No matter what, keep on fighting.

Our main mission here is to learn to give love to others, to be open to receive love, and to never forget to love ourselves and treat ourselves with the same kindness. It’s so important to not forget ourselves in the process.  When acting from a place of compassion and kindness from our hearts, it is the most beautiful we could ever be. In the end, what we own or don’t own, won’t mean a thing. Our legacy that we leave behind will be only about love, the love we gave, the love we left behind in the hearts of others, the way we touched this world with our love.

Have a great night everyone. Rest well knowing that your life is a part of something even greater than us. Do your best to keep negative thoughts and regret out of your mind. Those things do nothing for us and only deplete our souls. Breathe deeply and peacefully knowing that your life is only ahead of you and beautiful things await.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed.

The boys prowling around town

The boys prowling

Good morning.

Sometimes Sammy & I are father and son. But sometimes we’re just two boys prowling around town. Of course I am married, so i can’t really prowl with Sammy but I’m a great wing man. Plus as you know I like to look at all he boobies walking by.

Vanessa Martinez thinks I am very immature with all the boobie talk, but hey when two studs like Sammy and I are hanging, what can I say, boys will be boys. Its not like when the guys hang out they walk by retail stores and say; “my friend you would look marvelous with that suit on” — No, we say “look at that gal that just walked by, and that one, and hey look at the one up there on the left”

In conclusion, when the boys get together, maturity flies right out the window.

Friday as an Acronym on August 21st, 2015

Friday as an Acronym on August 21st, 2015

Good evening friends. Its great to be here with everyone on this Friday night. We hope everyone’s close of the week was a smooth one. If was not, put it on the shelf until Monday.

Day 222 here in Puerto today. It turns out over the next few months or so we will see some of our ELS family in Puerto Rico before they hop on their Caribbean Cruises and such. Additionally there are rumors that some of my old fraternity pals from NYU are planning a trip to Puerto Rico. I was really happy to hear all of the likely visitors swinging by and through Puerto Rico. I don’t miss NY, but i miss seeing some of my friends.

I hope y’all had a nice week and day today. It was good to be alive on August 21st, 2015. Let’s break Friday down as an acronym just for fun. I know we’ve done this day already, but I don’t remember it. So i going wing very freshly again tonight. Here we go;

The acronym for Friday is; “Freedom – Recreational – Independence – Delightful – As – You” — Pretty good, right ?

OK, lets close with two positive notion.

1. The weekends are to rejuvenate no to ruminate

2. I did my best and my best is always good enough. Whoever does not believe that, it’s their problem. I can only promise the world I will do the best I can. I cannot promise the world it will please everyone.

With that friends, I am wrapping it up for the night. My sister is going to fill in for me for a few days or maybe starting next week. I Feel pretty exhausted lately, been doing more writing then ever before. Don’t get me wrong its my passion, but passion or no passion, i feel exhausted and could use a break.
