Life is inches and minuts

Goodnight dear friends and family. This is Jessica writing to you tonight.  We hope that you had a great Monday, and that everyone is back at home, safe and sound.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our friend Lisa Ball and her neighbors tonight. There was a fire that destroyed two homes right next to Lisa’s today. Thank God no one was hurt. The people who lived in those two homes are safe, and were not there at the time. Still they have lost all of their belongings, the place they come home to at night , and I’m sure many, many memories. We extend our deepest condolences for all that was lost for those families. We pray for them at this very difficult time, as they begin to rebuild.

This fire was moving fast, and scorched one side of a tree just feet from Lisa’s home. Just through the wall on the side, Lisa lives with her beautiful Pomeranian Nikki , who is absolutely adored by Lisa, and by all of us here. Both Lisa and Nikki are so important to me and my family. We truly love them both. We thank God that they are safe tonight, and uninjured. Things could have happened very differently, God forbid.  Life is inches and minutes , as my father used to say. I thank God that no one was hurt. I thank God that Lisa and Nikki are ok. We pray for their peace of mind and comfort, on the heels of such a frightening day. We send them so much love.

Time Marches on and so must we by Jessica Smith

Goodnight dear friends and family.

This is Jessica writing to you tonight. I hope you all enjoyed your weekend. It’s absolutely beautiful outside.

A lot has happened in the past month. In fact it’s been a while since things have been peaceful.  As many of you can relate, sometimes it feels like just when we climb over one hurdle in life, another seems to comes around the corner. And with all of this, we have to just take each one as they come, and give it our very best fight. I’ve learned to not get too swept over when I am faced with a new challenge. If I spend too much time on my knees from the shock of something, I can get lost in it. I have found that just proceeding ahead, even if I’m crawling, I can somehow make my way over it, inch by inch.

I know there are exceptions to this, of course. So never blame yourself or put a time limit on grief or pain.  The only way over it, is through it. However long that takes. Even if it’s forever, and even if you have to learn to live with a whole new reality, as in the case of losing someone dear to you. There are no rules. Go at your own pace. Nurture yourself always.

I don’t have the answers to everything at all. I am always learning each day,  just as we all are. The only thing that I always tell myself, and I’ve mentioned to all of you before, is that giving up is never an option. I try and think of myself as a soldier many times. Ready to fight anything that is thrown my way. Ready to give it my all. Wether I win or lose, I will always know that I fought and never gave in.

One thing that must remain always in our hearts,  is hope. There is always hope for a better day. There is always hope for all the dreams that we hold close. Never forget that.

Many prayers of love and healing to all of you tonight. May the new week ahead bring all new possibilities into your life.

Poppy the Giraffe for Halloween

Poppy as a Giraffe for Halloween

Good morning friends.

Little Pops came by to spread his Halloween Spirit.  He is wearing his Giraffe costume.  Its funny because Poppy is 10 inches tall, and Giraffe’s can be up to 18 feet tall.

Still he wears rather well we think.

Sunday mornings are the greatest part of the week.  Its the one morning we let imagination back int he door and into our lives.  On Sunday’s we get to be us again, the people we set out to be in the very beginning.

Leader of the Pack

Leader of the Pack

Good morning friends.

The little Pumpkin man came to say good morning.  As you can see he has an onslaught of people behind him.  Sammy always lets people come right up to him but then quickly pulls back a foot or two.  He got scooped up off the ground a lot over the years.  People always wanted to pick him up.  So now he kind has to spend a few minutes with you before he lets you pick him up.

Sammy is almost 11 years old and I can say confidently he’s met way more people then I did in my life. This little boy has lived several lives in one.   As him and I began our journey together, I used to thank him for helping me out of darkness and into happiness again. After I felt the magic he gave to my life, i knew he can do that for people all over the world.  And to that end, he did just that.  This little 10 pound Pomeranian has lifted people spirits from every country in the world.  Many times we even got to meet these people in person.

People used to say to me all the time Sammy is such a celebrity. I always said that Sammy is for all of us. He’s the little dog you get to met and play with.  We never turned our heads on anyone.  So no offense to celebrities but Sammy is a dog of the people.  All for one and one for all.

Goodnight dear friends and family.

This is Jessica writing to you tonight. Again Friday night arrives just in time. It was a long week. Thank God there’s a reprieve. We hope you all get some much deserved time to just relax and not have any obligations to meet in the next few days. Now is the moment to make time for the most important people in your life.

Life works in such mysterious ways. It’s amazing how people that you didn’t know even a year ago, can become some of the most important people in your life today. Sometimes someone you’ve only just met can make you feel as though you’ve known them forever. Sometimes , when you’re not looking at all, love can appear in the most unlikely places. And you have to say to yourself, that this was all meant to be. Wether it’s a new friend, a new member of the family , or even a new lover.

Always keep your heart open, and no matter what hurts you’ve had in the past, never close down due to painful experiences. Keep hoping. Keep falling in love, and keep on moving ahead with a loving heart.

Friday is so Reverent

Henry on October 23rd, 2015

Good morning friends.

It’s great to be participating in life October 23, 2015.  Another gift today.  Friday is such a genius how he always shows up right up on time. He’s so reverent.  Obviously Friday can be a “She” also.  Friday’s are for all of us.

Henry came by to wish you all a great day and to sport his new haircut.  He kind of looks like Poppy now. Their personalities are so different that for me its still easy to tell who is who.

OK lets kick this day off with three Positive notions.

1. In a year from today, I want to look back on this very day and say to myself I did the right thing.

2. I have referenced Sylvester Stallone many times in this community as you all know. This man is the  perfect example of Hope.  If you ever read what he endured to breakthrough all the barriers that life threw at him, its literally astonishing.  He basically said to life; “I’m all heart, the only way to keep me down is to kill me, because other than that I march forward”

3. Passion cannot be contained.  Its an unshakable force.  What’s your passion ?
