Good evening friends.
Day 240 here in Puerto Rico. In espanol, dos cientos cuarenta dias en Puerto Rico. We hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend.
Just a quick note to all the kids that went to sleep away camp that hated it and are thrilled to be back home and in school. I was right there with you. To me, sleep away camp was prison for 8 weeks in a bunk with 10 other males getting bitten alive by mosquito’s and flies buzzing in my ears all night.
Then, once i had the luxury of a miserable sleep, they would wake us up to jump in a freezing lake at 7 am in the morning. From there the rest of the day was followed by 8 hours of activities I could care less about. The highlight of being away for 8 weeks was the nights we got to go to the canteen. For those that don’t know, canteen wast the night you had the privilege of buying candy after being tortured all week with no sleep and swimming in freezing lakes.
OK, so where am i going with all this ? Here’s where, if any of you youngies felt the way I did about sleep away camp, start complaining about it right now, so when the month of May comes around, its a forgone conclusion you never wanted to go in the first place, and you’re not just being a brat.
OK, back to reality now that the summer is technically over. Remember with that said, September is always a beautiful month weather wise.
OK, lets close with two positive notions tonight.
1. Seasons change, but the song remains the same, I just want to be happy.
2. The most noble thing people can do is rescue an animal. You will be saving a life, and they will bring an overabundance of live to your family instantaneously. Win Win. #HigerSenseOfPurpse #MakeThatChange
