Happy Throwback Thursday. Here is a piece I did on Grand Central Station. Enjoy.
Grand Central Station is located on 42nd street between Lexington and Park Avenue. Grand Central is the hub for metro-north commuter lines of Westchester County and neighboring Connecticut. Approximately 130,000 commuters travel through Grand Central everyday. People, whether they are commuting or not, each day, come to the station to enjoy the restaurants, bars, and shops just like they would anywhere else. Grand Central is like a mini City inside of New York City. People can take walking tours inside the station and start at the information booth for guidance. There are also audio device tours for a small fee that will guide you through Grand Central as you go. The Station is most famous for the Great Astronomical mural on the Main Concourse, truly breathtaking. This is one of New York City’s most remarkable landmark and the most magnificent public places in the country, built between 1903 and 1913.
Grand Central Station is in the heart of Midtown located near 3 main attractions: Times Square, Empire State Building, and Rockefeller Center. Grand Central Terminal is full of interesting bars, shops, restaurants, and a food court. Location: 42nd street between Lexington and Park Avenue.
