Goodnight friends. Tomorrow the celebrations will begin. A lot of people will be outdoors tomorrow and tomorrow night. Families and friends will be gathering together all over the country, celebrating, barbecuing and watching the incredible firework displays.
Never forget that all of these celebrations, symbolize freedom for our country. Never forget all of the heroes who fought and died for the freedom that we enjoy today. They are the reason that we are able to celebrate. We send gratitude and thanks to them and their families, always. So tomorrow night, when the sky is lit up, remember those that made the ultimate sacrifice. It is all because of them, all of it.
Again dear ones, please keep yourselves and your pets safe. Keep your pets away from the fireworks. The sounds can be very scary for them and if you have them out with you, they may run, even if they don’t normally do that.
Happy Birthday to our Mother, Jo Ann Santoro Smith. Truthfully and unbiasedly, one of the most beautiful women to ever walk the earth. She always has been and she still is. I know our Father would be sending her an endless sea of roses, if he were still here. Our Mother has endured a lot and she has always been a fighter. When she lost my Father, she didn’t just lose him, she lost a life, she lost people she thought were her friends and her family. It was more than a learning experience for her and it has made her a lot stronger. My Mother raised us alone, after 1984, and she fought for us every step of the way. We love you Mom and so does Daddy.
Tonight we send out prayers for our dear friend Debbie Broussard Kennedy. We pray that God sends all of his love and healing to our precious friend in her time of need. We love you Debbie. You’re a very important part of our “Everybody Loves Sammy community”. God bless Debbie and keep her safe and well.
Special prayers going out for our dear friends, Mary Elizabeth Gerald Drew and her precious Pomeranian, “Buttons”. Buttons crossed over the rainbow bridge just two weeks ago and is now flying high with a new set of angel wings. She was 12 yrs old and she was Mary’s baby. God please comfort Mary at this very painful time. No matter what the age of your little one, she will always be your baby and she will never be far from you, Mary. Sending you all of our love tonight and always.
More prayers going out tonight, requested by our friend Lisa Broderick. A child was attacked by two pit bulls in her home town, and authorities had to put both dogs down. This poor child needs our strongest prayers. Dear God please heal this baby. No child should ever have to endure the suffering that this child is enduring. Please send a miracle for this child. Please let this child not have another minute of pain. In the name of the innocence and helplessness of children, please heal this baby.
And for all of the animals, domestic and wild, we pray for a kinder, more compassionate world. We pray for a world where animals are free from harm and each and every one, knows only love and gentleness. After all, angels deserve no less.
No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen. Goodnight everyone.
Love from,
Jessica Lee Smith,
