Welcome home Patrick August 18, 2013

1185629_670010546362478_790468431_nGoodnight everybody. We hope that your weekend was a great one. As we approach the end of August, let us make sure to enjoy these final days of summer.

I want to take a moment tonight to talk about depression. Depression affects millions of people every day. It is not something to be ashamed of. Depression is an illness. It doesn’t mean that you are “crazy.” Depression is a human condition. It is more common than you realize. Many people that suffer from depression are afraid to admit it for fear of the stigma associated with it. When you are depressed, it can feel bottomless. It can make you really believe that things are hopeless. But they are not.

It’s important to intellectualize the fact that depression, although it may not seem it, cannot kill you. Remember, even in the depths of your darkness, you are not alone. God is always with you and there is always hope. Just as you would never give up on a loved one, you must never give up on yourself. Depression is just another fight that you can, and will win.
A brighter day lies ahead for you. You are in this life for a reason. There is a very important purpose for each of us being here. That is precisely why God created you. We must forge ahead and make it through until the end.

It is with great happiness that we welcome a new addition to Sammy & Family. He is 11 months old and has spent almost a year of his life in a pet shop waiting for a home. He has watched and waited as other dogs were chosen when he was not, poor baby. His price was reduced and reduced. Scott and Vanessa fell in love with him and decided to adopt him. How could anyone not adore this precious boy. It’s frightening to think about what would have happened if they did not take him home today. He is an absolute angel and the boys love him!! We are blessed and very grateful to have him join our family. Welcome home baby boy!
Thank you all so much for your name suggestions. There are so many great ones. We will announce his name very soon.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Love from,
