Sammy and the World September 4, 2013

1229987_678950362135163_1424658997_nHi there. Hope everyone had a nice day. So I thought I would share a story tonight about Sammy when he was little. I coined a phrase for him from the very beginning, “Sammy Loves the World,” not a very sophisticated phrase but it was very fitting. When I brought home Sammy, I lived on the 54th Floor of the second tallest residential building in NYC, on East 38th Street. I’m not being boastful. It was a rental. Anyhow, some nights after work, I was just too tired to take him out, especially in winter. He got out a lot, don’t get me wrong, and yes I had wee pads for him when I kept him in. The point is, on the nights when I just wanted to stay home; I used to pick him up so he can stare out the window. It always amazed me watching him watch the world. He would look down at all the people walking by, the taxis, the buses and was completely entranced. I used to say to friends or gals I was dating, that when he watched the world, if you offered him food or other dogs to play with, you could not distract him from looking outside. I never saw that with a dog before. When I would speak to my family and friends, I used to say, “Sammy loves the world.” And he really did. We would frequently venture out and my god, when he was out, every step he took, after each store we walked by, you would think the biggest party in town was going on. I know we all look at him as this cute little thing, and believe me, so do I. But he is much more than that. He is the happiest living thing I have ever seen in my life. This little man takes nothing for granted, and smiles the second he wakes up, until the second we all retire for the night. Naturally the general attrition of life took place as time moved on. People saw this quality and he wasn’t just the cute Sammy anymore. He was the little boy that was going to make you happy right then and there. As social media came into our lives, the natural thing was to share this smile and appreciation for life with anyone and everyone. So when I look back on that boy that used to stare at the world from the 54th Floor in the sky, I knew he would lift people’s spirits around the world. When someone loves the world like he does, how can that not resonate through all of us? So the term “ Sammy Loves The World “ was a real experience, not just some slogan. It was those lonely nights on the 54th Floor when Sammy just blew me away.

Amen. Love Sammy & Family.

My three sons September 4, 2013

1229851_678680485495484_1662792675_n[pullquote align=”left|center|right” textalign=”left|center|right” width=”30%”] Good morning. I think this is what inspired the 1972 show, “My Three Sons “.
This is the most exciting part of their day, and the most exciting part of mine, knowing we are a few minutes away from being together.. The best part is, they will do this everyday without fail, and it will never change. Anytime I make life more complicated then that, I miss out on these moments, and that “just ain’t right “.

The second thing behind this that will make me happy is; handing out frozen snickers for free on a beach, talking to complete strangers about light, breezy and pointless things. The dumber the subject matter, the better. Hey, a man can dream. I think I might be able to accomplish this one.

Happy Wednesday

Dolphins leading us out tonight September 3, 2013

1002535_678441725519360_1847371509_nHi friends. Let’s have the dolphins lead us out tonight to show respect for what they are doing in Japan to them right now. Please read through to Jessica’s writing tonight. The picture is from Dolphin Discovery.

Let me start by thanking everyone for those sweet comments for Patrick’s post this morning. This poor little guy was in a cage for probably 10 of his first 11 months in this life. We are very happy making him happy. It makes you realize how random things are for our dogs and pets. It’s such a game of chance about where they will end up. Patrick will have a great life. I wish the same for all dogs taken into new homes. And we always pray for the dogs still looking for homes.

Jessica’s reading stars here;

Goodnight everybody. We hope that you enjoyed your Labor Day weekend, and that you made beautiful and lasting memories with the ones that you love most. We hope that your first day back to work and school was a smooth transition.

“Life is inches and minutes,” as my father used to say. It is so important to live each day to the fullest, as tomorrow is not promised to any of us. Love with all of your heart and soul. Do not be afraid to express what is truly in your heart when it comes to family and friends. The hardest words to say are sometimes the most healing and the most necessary. “I love you” and “I’m sorry” are for so many people, such difficult words to speak.

Sometimes we feel imprisoned in our own minds. Sometimes we are afraid, that when we do say those words, we may be met with some form of rejection. Do not allow yourself to be a prisoner of those fears. Expose your heart without fear. You have absolutely nothing to lose. In many cases, saying those words will help you to have peace of mind. You will have no regrets because you will know that you gave it your all. That is an invaluable gift that you can give to yourself.

Prayers are going out tonight for all of the restless souls in this world. Dear God, bring them peace. Help them to carry the heavy burdens that rest upon their shoulders. Dear God fill our world with your peace. Let all living beings know freedom and let all living beings know love.

Small adjustments to our lifestyles, our diet, wardrobe and the products that we use, will mean the difference between life and death for millions of innocent animals. It will mean the difference between freedom and lifelong imprisonment, for countless numbers of these defenseless angels. Let us do our very best, to save as many lives as possible.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Love from,
Jessica Lee Smith,
For Sammy & Family

Indisputable acts of evil September 2, 2013

535001_677944375569095_579202164_nHello friends, took a lot of slack today for an earlier post illustrating and comparing evil acts going on. A lot of people on Page, said, ” well what about this example, what about that example ?

Let Jessica and I ( Scott Smith ), be precise about what indisputable acts of evil are. Anything like the following is pure evil, and deserves to be compared to that monster I mentioned earlier; Seal Clubbing, Dog Fighting, Trunking, Bear Baiting, Bear Dancing, Monkey dancing, dolphin slaughters like the one in Japan right now, or where in certain countries in Europe when a young male becomes a man, they go out and slaughter baby whales and dolphins to show they have graduated to manhood. Hopefully that cleared up some of the smoke out there.

We don’t debate on this page, but i always let everyone know they can email me smith7024@yahoo.com and yell at me there. It’s all OK with me.

To starts tonight’s reading, Let’s quote Albert Einstein; ” There will come a day when such men as myself, will view the slaughter of innocent creatures as horrible a crime as the murder of his fellow man.” He was right, my family and i feel that way right now.

Intense prayers going out to the dolphins of Japan where i literally can’t even speak of what’s going on with them. I don’t think i have seen anything like this in my life. Good luck to the men killing these God Like creatures. Wow, eternity will be a tough place for you.

Moving on, we continue to pray for badgers out of the UK, another total disregard for life. Fortunately Mother Natures is putting her gloves on again, I’m sure of that.

And lastly, we always pray for Dogs of Dog Fighting, especially Pit Bulls as they are the most dragged into this evil sport. I’m not sure you people know about ” Trunking ” style of Dog Fighting, I won’t write about it, but encourage you to Google this, and then tell me you disagree with what I wrote earlier.

I want to give a Shout Out to a Page called 269life, they put it out there fearlessly. It’s graphic but it’s real. We applaud them, whoever the are. We love there consistent quote of ” Support Animal Rights, GO Vegan. ” Bravo people, my family and I have our hats off to you.

No lives will go in vain, no pain will go unnoticed.

Amen. Love Sammy & Family.
