Prayers for Jasper August 15, 2013

996929_668421433188056_297134635_nHello animal lovers. Jess is taking the night off to be with the kids and my mother. So I will step in for her tonight. I mentioned my childhood friend today rescuing a Pit-Bull named Jasper. They are from the Facebook Page of Jasper the Friendly Oaf. We talk about Pit Bulls a lot as you all know, so I thought to mention Jasper again tonight as we did today. Let’s pray for Jasper who got a new lease on life with a great family. We are wishing them all happiness. This was a win win, no question about it.

We are posting this picture of a baby pig from the Facebook page of Animals Need Help And Compassion. As you can see they are no different then our beloved pets and family members. They see, they feel, they can smell. They feel love and pain just like people. I have recently brought soy dogs into my diet. They are absolutely delicious. More importantly, nobody had to suffer a life hell and demise for my appetite. Please join Jessica, Vanessa and I and the many that have been beating this drum for a long time now in taking action for the betterment of these lovely creatures.

As always we pray for all animal victims forced to participate in these senseless sporting events, counting on their anguish and demise. What a horrible tradition some of these countries have and what gumption people have to abuse these Godly creatures for their amusement. It’s such a discard for life.

Small tweaks in our lives make a substantial differences in theirs, including life or death. Any animal lover knows we are not important enough for any species to suffer for our appetite. We will not die not eating animals. There is a better way.

No lives will go in Vain, no pain will go unnoticed.

Amen. Love always Sammy & Family

Prayers for the children August 14, 2013

1176392_667908446572688_1215871828_nGoodnight friends and family. We hope that you have all arrived safely to your destinations, and that this day has treated you well.

Everyday we are faced with challenges. No matter how hard we try to avoid it, life puts obstacles before us that we must overcome. Things can seem so overwhelming. It is sometimes hard to see a light at the end of the tunnel, but have no doubt that there is one.

I do my best everyday to try and not wallow in the past, or in regrets and mistakes made in my own life. It is difficult to do sometimes, when there are constant reminders. Still I must remain strong and move forward. I must set myself apart from the past and move into the future, knowing that God has brought me to where I am spiritually, only through trials and a lot of error on my part. Without my mistakes and without the turmoil that I have survived, I would not be as strong as I am today. It is true in my case, the old sayings that “youth is wasted on the young” and “If only I knew then, what I know now.” I know most of us can relate to that.

If I could give the young boy that I once was one thing, it would be self confidence. Low self esteem was my biggest “sin.” I am calling it a “sin,” because it hurt someone very badly. And that someone was me. You see, God wants us to be good to all of his children and that includes ourselves. If we are good to others but not to ourselves we are still not doing fully what God wants of us. God wants us to find the same love for ourselves and until we do, we will continue to be faced with pain. We must show the same protective instinct that we show for others when it comes to protecting ourselves also. Loving yourself can be a lifelong lesson and is sometimes the hardest lesson to learn.

One of the most painful things in this life is seeing your own child have to learn the same hard lessons that you have already learned. Our natural Instinct is to want to save our child and pass onto them the wisdom that we have gained throughout our years. It is natural for us to want to spare them the suffering by passing that knowledge on to them. It is very hard to know that we cannot always do that. It is very difficult to accept that those we love, have to go through their own trial and error the same way that we did. Such is the cycle of life. Such is the way that each soul must grow. And it is this lesson that is truly the hardest of all.

So tonight, we pray for the children. All of the beautiful and innocent children that deserve to have hope and deserve to suffer not a single day. We pray for the children that go without, the children who have been wounded and carry with them a pain that no child should ever know. We pray for children that suffer with a lifelong or terminal illness. No child should ever have to endure this. No child could ever deserve this. All children should be well. All children should feel loved, wanted and accepted for who they are. God Bless the children. God protect them all of the days of their lives as they journey forward.

Very special and very strong prayers go out tonight for our friend Lane. We learned about Lane’s plight from her dear friend Cynthia Cothren Bivens. Cynthia is a very important member of the “Everybody Loves Sammy” community. We care a lot about Cynthia and Lane is Cynthia’s best friend. Just recently we sent prayers out for a miracle for Lane after she was diagnosed with advanced stage cancer and told by her doctor, that she had only a week left to live.

It is with a very heavy heart that we share with you that Lane has passed away today. She is now an angel and no longer suffers any fear or pain. God bless Lane and carry her into the light, in your arms. God, please comfort Cynthia and her loved ones with the knowledge that even death cannot separate us from those that we love. These are bonds that remain for all eternity. Love is everlasting and lives on until we meet again.

And for the millions and millions of innocent and defenseless animals, fighting everyday to survive, we ask for miracle. Too many of these precious angels are being abandoned, abused, neglected and tortured. The genocide that is being inflicted on these defenseless creatures needs to end. Have no doubt that God watches over his angels and he watches very closely, how they are being treated.

Small adjustments to our lifestyles, our diet, our wardrobe and the products that we use, will mean the difference between life and death to countless animals. Let us do our very best to save as many lives as possible. Together we can make a difference.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Prayers for Cindy Knolls and Molly August 12, 2013

Goodnight dear ones. We hope you had a great Monday and that your week is off to a positive start. Each day of the week we are given new opportunities to make an impact on the world around us for the better. Lets make each opportunity count. In life you meet all kinds of people from all different backgrounds. Some people around us make us smile and always leave us feeling happy after an encounter with them. Then there are some people that appear so unhappy when you see them and are very unpleasant to be around. Always be true to yourself when dealing with all kinds of people. Never let an unpleasant person make you doubt your own behavior. Do what you know is right in your heart, no matter which type of person you are faced with. It is never wrong to be kind to another person. If you find that being around certain people is harmful to you in any way, spiritually or physically, do your best to avoid that person and separate yourself from that environment as much as you can. You can be kind and at the same time distance yourself from someone toxic. There is no need to hurt that person in return. It won’t make you feel better and it will turn you into something that you are not. Continue on your path of what you know to be just. Always treat others the way that you would want to be treated. If they are toxic, get as far away from them as possible and stay away. Staying around a toxic person for an extended period of time can leave permanent emotional scars and damage your sense of self worth. You are too good for that. Never let anyone do that to you even if that person is a member of your family. One of the most important lessons in this life is learning to walk away from something that is not good for you. It can be a very difficult thing to do but nonetheless very necessary.

Prayers are going out tonight for our dear friend, Cindy Kolis and her precious fur baby, Molly. Cindy was with Molly today as she crossed the rainbow bridge into heaven. Understandably, this an unbearably painful day for Cindy but helping Molly cross the bridge was the most selfless thing that she could do for her baby. It was the ultimate act of love. Molly is now an angel and no longer has any pain. She left this world deeply loved and that love is the greatest gift that you can give to an animal.

Molly was 8 years old when Cindy adopted her from the ASPCA. She was very afraid, very thin and needed 8 teeth extracted. After some time, Cindy found out that Molly was also in kidney failure. Cindy and her veterinarian always suspected that Molly had been abused during her life before Cindy rescued her. They suspected that her former owners had abandoned her when she became ill from lack of care. Cindy loves and treasures Molly with all of her heart. In her five years with Molly, Cindy showered her with love and gentleness. She made sure that Molly had the best of everything and Molly became her “little shadow.”

Cindy is heartbroken tonight and we ask for prayers for her comfort. Molly will be greatly missed by her family, until they meet again. In Cindy’s own words, “It has been my honor and privilege to be her Mommy for 5 years.” We are sending you love tonight, Cindy. We know how grateful Molly is to you for the love that you gave her. We know how much she loves you. Please know that the five years of love and devotion she received from you was enough to make her forget all of the pain that she lived before she was rescued by you. She will always be your baby. God bless Molly and God bless Cindy.

More prayers for another one of our very special friends, Elizabeth Kantor Lane and her baby Sophie. Sophie crossed over the rainbow bridge into heaven and gained her angel wings the day before yesterday. She was 15 years old. Sophie had a very full and wonderful life. She was a very special cat. She was loving and “outspoken” and very maternal to her fur brothers and sisters. She always made sure that they were taken care of just like a Mommy.

Sophie is, and always will be a very special member of Elizabeth’s family. She is deeply loved and will be forever missed. Until they meet again, in a world that holds beauty that is beyond description. We pray for comfort for Elizabeth, at this very painful time. We send her love. God bless Sophie, always, and God bless Elizabeth.

Small changes in our lifestyle; our diet, our wardrobe and the products that we use, can mean the difference between life and death, for millions and millions of animals. Even if we start with baby steps, we are making a difference to these defenseless angels. Let us do our very best, to save as many lives as possible. They are counting on us.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.
