Let no one ever tell you that you are “less than” July 2, 2013

1001796_643890285641171_1233414727_n-1Goodnight everybody. We hope you’ve all arrived home safely to your destinations after a long day of work and other obligations. We are almost mid week. This week and weekend will be very special because of all of the Independence day celebrations taking place around the country.

Make memories that will last you for a lifetime, with the ones that mean the most to you. Cherish each day, always remembering that tomorrow is not promised to anyone and that we must always have gratitude for the blessings that we do have.

Let no one ever tell you that you are “less than.” Always know in your heart, that God has chosen each of us, in our own unique way, for a very special purpose. We are all equal in God’s eyes, regardless of color, gender, religion, ethnicity or monetary value. We all leave this life with nothing but our souls to offer before God.

Let each day of your life be an example of kindness and compassion. After all, that is the part of your legacy that will live on forever…long after you have gone.

Prayers going out to all of the innocent and defenseless animals in our world being murdered, hunted, used as bait for “sport,” abandoned and abused. These are God’s angels. Do not doubt that each one that is hurt WILL be accounted for. God sees all things and he watches his angels and how they are treated, so carefully.

There is never a reason or an excuse to hurt an animal. Animals are here to teach us love. And that is all that they should ever know, only love.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

There is someone outside the door…July 2, 2013

Just because you are a ten pound Pomeranian Seal, does not mean you can’t be a good guard dog. Sammy can feel there is someone right outside the door. It could be a food deliver, it could be the mail, or it could be an intruder. In any case this person is in for a rude awakening, unless of course it’s a food delivery.Happy Tuesday. [/pullquote]

Prayers for the firefighters lost in Arizona July 1, 2013

296207_643414022355464_1563186046_nGood evening dear ones. Our week has begun. We hope it has started out well for you. A lot of festivities are in store this coming week, in honor of July 4th, Independence Day. So many celebrations are taking place and of course, the fireworks shows are on their way.

As kids, we used to get some of our own fireworks and go down to the beach near our childhood house to light them. Me and Scott would walk down there by ourselves. We never realized at that time, how completely dangerous that was. One summer Scott lit a firecracker that seemed to go off backwards and chased me and Scott up a small hill. Needless to say, we never did that again.

Many injuries take place every year at this time, with people using fireworks at home. I always think it is safest and best to attend a firework display being organized by professionals who are schooled in exactly what they’re doing. There are so many firework shows on the Fourth of July. Usually you just have to find a good spot to be able to view them in a safe environment.

As fun as July 4th is for millions of people, it’s important to keep in mind that it represents the freedom of our nation. Freedom should never be taken for granted. Many people still live without the freedoms that we enjoy every day.

Only oceans away, people are still being enslaved and oppressed. Let us never forget those still fighting for freedom. The fight is not over for them. All people should be free, regardless of gender, race, religion or financial status. All living beings are meant to, and deserve to be free. We pray for those who are still living as prisoners. We pray for a day when they can know freedom as well.

As far as I see it, if there are still people who are not free, then we are ALL not truly free. When all people, of all nations are free, then, and only then, shall we know true freedom. We send gratitude for the freedom that we have but we pray for that same freedom for all people.

Our strongest prayers are being sent out tonight for the 19 firefighters that were lost in the Yarnell blaze in Arizona, near Prescott. All of these firefighters, are heroes. Without a second thought, they jumped on their trucks to contain this raging fire but it overtook them and they never returned home. God bless these heroes and their families. God bless them for their sacrifice. A hero is a hero forever. A hero is never forgotten.

We end our prayers by asking God to protect his most precious creatures, the animals. Too many innocent and defenseless animals are being hunted, abused, abandoned and neglected. We must be their voice. We must fight in their name. We must never abandon these helpless angels who need and deserve so much more.

Spread the word of compassion, wherever you can. Every day offer kindness to those in need. Do your best to make this world a more loving place. Let us all make a pledge to take part in a return to humanity. This world desperately needs it.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Prayers for Nelson Mandela June 30, 2013

6950_642947839068749_1574965170_nGoodnight dear friends and family. We hope that you enjoyed your weekend and that you are well rested and ready for the week ahead.

We have more prayers going out tonight, for one of the greatest spirits to ever walk this earth, Nelson Mandela. He remains in the hospital, in critical condition. We send our deepest love and comfort out to him in his suffering. We ask God to spare him any pain, in the name of all the goodness and the love that he has brought to our world. If not for his life, millions would still be oppressed. Countless lives that go on today, would have been lost.

Talk about a strong soul. A soul so filled with light, that almost two decades locked in a prison cell, could not break It. Nelson Mandela walked out of prison, a free man. Not only in body, but in mind. There is so much to learn from his example.

All around us, are broken people. People weighed down by regret and bitterness. People who cannot move ahead and who feel locked in and defined by the past. What they need, is hope. Without hope, they will all be lost. We pray for the broken ones. We pray for a day when they are freed from the prison of their own minds. We pray for their enlightenment. All people deserve hope. We are all equal in the eyes of God.

We continue on to pray for the millions of homeless animals, fighting every day just to survive. Too many of these defenseless angels are being euthanized and thrown out like garbage. Endless piles of beautiful babies, lining the trash bins of animal shelters. The love and devotion, annihilated in those bins, is insurmountable. This is an atrocity. And it’s happening every day to these precious animals.

Everyday is a perfect day to adopt a homeless animal. The shelters are filled with immeasurable love, just waiting to be given a home. Please don’t buy a pet from a pet store. The selling of pure bred animals at pet stores, promotes the survival of puppy mills, where are animals are being caged and exploited, bred over and over, and then murdered when they have “No more use”.

Please inform yourself on what occurs at puppy mills. I myself, had no real understanding of it and have bought a pet from a pet store. I had no idea of the cruelty taking place in order for me to buy a dog. I will never ever contribute to the suffering of those caged angels in puppy mills, ever again, after what I have learned.

If you have a love for a certain breed, there are many rescue organizations designated for specific breeds. So please don’t shop, only adopt. Millions of innocent animals are counting on you.

My precious Weezer was an adopted dog. If I had never gone to the shelter that day, I would have missed out on twenty years by the side of a living angel. What a gift she was to me. You too, can have that gift, any day, any time. It can be found so simply, in the heart of an animal who needs a home, and there are millions of them. You will save a life and you will be saved back.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Gratitude that saves us from falling June 28, 2013

1010164_641837745846425_1578321136_nGoodnight everybody. We hope your week is off to a great start and that this goodnight message, finds you all as well and as happy as you deserve to be.

There is always something to be grateful for, no matter how hard things get. It’s important to always remember that, when life is at its most difficult. It is gratitude that can save us from falling into the abyss of hopelessness.

Many times, certain circumstances and certain life altering events, can leave us reeling and in a state of despair. Many times, these are things which we cannot control. Always keep in mind that quitting or giving up, is not an option, in this journey of our lives.

Keep the faith and hold on tight because it is at these moments, that God steps in and carries us through. Have no doubt that God is with you in your darkness. You are never alone. Just around the corner, there is hope for a better day, but only if we continue ahead. We’ve got to see it through until our final hour, no matter what.

Last night, while walking to the store to get some juice for the babies, the streets were quiet and not many people were around. As I was walking, my brain was racing with so many thoughts, “Where will we end up?”. How will I dig my way out of this?”, “What lies ahead for us?”. Just before I entered the store I noticed bare feet peeking out on the sidewalk. When I turned to look, I noticed a man about 40 yrs old, sleeping on the concrete, with a clean piece of cardboard laying under his body. This man had no shoes, no blanket, no safety of any kind. He was homeless and he was no different and no less, than any of us.

I thought to myself, how selfish I was to worry about the things that plagued my mind on my walk, as this man slept on the street with no home. I imagined how easily that could be any one of us. I thought of this man as a young boy and the hope that he had for his life. I wondered how long he had been on the street because it seemed like maybe it hadn’t been that long. His clothes were clean and he was almost newly shaven. I thought how scary that must be for him to suddenly find himself without a home or a friend in this world. It was hard to walk away.

Please join me in praying for that man tonight. Let us also pray for the millions of men, women, children, and animals, in his same position. These innocent souls wander the streets day and night, searching for shelter, searching for food and fearing for their safety, with no reprieve.

Dear God help them. Raise them out of their despair and allow us to see a day where all living beings are taken care of and safe. Let us never become a world that overlooks the suffering of others. Only in a world without God, would we be so callous. Always remember others. Always extend kindness and never judge another, until you have walked in his shoes.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.

Prayers for Brenda June 27, 2013

1013021_641381415892058_762284973_nHello friends. In any given day there are some happy stories and some sad ones. We pray for all animals and people in good and bad positions. Tonight we reach out to our close friend Brenda who is a great friend to the Sammy Community. Brenda lost her 40 year old son on May 31st, needless to say she is heartbroken. He would have been 41 yrs old on August 6th, 2013. For the last 13 years he lived at home with Brenda taking care of him. The Doctor’s had diagnosed him with a brain stem injury back then and said it was a miracle he was still alive. Brenda please forgive me if I did not explain the diagnosis well enough.

A lot of us have lost loved ones along the way, and that includes animals of course. Jessica, Brooke and I lost our father when he was just 45, and there were six kids altogether. I won’t compare this to Brenda’s loss at all. She and her son’s bond was much stronger then my father’s bond with my sisters and I. What I can say is this, when we lose someone we love, whether person or animal, it’s not like the years we all had together go up in smoke. That reality did happen, and just because it is of no more, does not take away the years of togetherness. So, to Brenda, your son suffers no more, your son left this life loved and knew it. His legacy lives on, and I would guarantee his wish for you is to carry on. Of course there will be mourning, as we all would, the grief can be unbearable. But even though he is gone now, those 40 years you had with him still mean something, and the substance of his life will never dissipate. It’s time to heal, it was time he got the peace he deserves, and it will be time for you to resume your life very soon. Just to reiterate, he is no longer in pain, and wants you to have a life again.

Now moving on to Pitbulls once again, it’s just one story after another with this breed. The organizations running these Pitbull fighting operations now use a method called Trunking. This is so the noise isn’t picked up by the general public and police. So they lock them both in a trunk until one Dog Maims the other one. I have said it before and I will say it again, between this and seal clubbing, we are looking at two of the biggest atrocities known to man. Shame on our species.
Please help save this very healthy female Pit, only prescription is needs is a loving home. Her spirits need a boost. http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=MRVL.A424451

I am 44 years old, I have never voted in my life. When I see some politician brings these Murderers to their knees, and completely lay the gauntlet down on these genocides taking place to our precious animals, then and only then, might I actually go to the booth to vote. If not, I will be at the tanning center, let me know who the next President becomes as I won’t have any TV in the tanning booth. Last comment on Politics, if I ever was going to vote, it would have been for President Obama. But like I said, until I see some politician come out swinging his or her fists for animals, I will sleep through the next election as well.

No lives will go in vain, no pain will go unnoticed.

Amen. Love Sammy & Family

Friends please take a look at this link, very healthy 2 year old Female Pit desperately needs a home. Only prescription for her is love, save her life and she will make yours. http://www.petharbor.com/pet.asp?uaid=MRVL.A424451
