Birds of a Feather Flock Together – Rubin and Capolongo

Susan Rubin is the Philip Capolongo of the animal rescue world.

Philip Capolongo forges bank letters about fictitious transactions in order to defraud people. Susan Rubin steals pictures of another dog in order to drive donations on her fraudulent GoFundMe campaign.

Mind you, the pictures Rubin stole were of a dog who was not in her possession. Nor had anything to do with the dogs she was supposedly was raising money for. Not to mention, Rubin also lied about the condition BabyLady was in.

Susan Rubin said BabyLady could not walk on her scam GoFundMe account. She said that BabyLady was suffering for years. Please see the picture of Polar Bear and BabyLady after running around the house below? What does Susan mean BabyLady could not walk? – What does Susan mean BabyLady was suffering for years? – Would anyone like to see 100 more pictures of BabyLady?

Polar Bear on the left. BabyLady on the right.

Susan Rubin’s entire GoFundMe campaign was a top to bottom fraud. Susan Rubin is the Philip Capolongo of the animal rescue world.

BabyLady needs to return home to dad immediately. She does NOT belong with an unhinged lunatic like Susan Rubin. This article will serve as a benchmark throughout time for other animal rescuers to Never put themselves at risk in dealing with Susan Rubin, or anyone like Susan Rubin. I am looking forward to all lawsuits as they will just drive the article higher and higher.

Susan Rubin’s Scheme to DeFraud on GoFundMe

On March 6th, 2024 at 4:23 pm, Susan Rubin made one of the Craziest calls to 311 Broward in history.

On March 6th, 2024 at 3pm, I published a massive feature story regarding a fraud taking place on GoFundMe, which is being perpetrated by Susan Rubin out of Washington DC, and I believe that dentist, Jennifer Jablow out of NYC is aiding and abetting in that fraud. I actually did not know about this campaign until a friend of mine mentioned it to me in Mid-February. Had I known about it sooner, I would’ve written this article at that time. I will address both Jablow and Rubin in this article for all to see. I will have dark blue clickable resource links throughout this article, and other reference links at the bottom.

Sadly and tragically, the love of my life, my dog, BabyLady is caught in the middle of this. I adopted BabyLady and out to Susan Rubin on a trial basis. Then, she launched a scam GoFundMe account using another dog’s pictures to drive donations for BabyLady. Furthermore, Rubin never gave me any updates on BabyLady as we agreed upon. Susan Rubin is a disgrace to the animal rescue world:

Long Live The King

Long Live The King - Rocky

Long Live The King –

This here is Rocky in the picture. I rescued him on November 19th, 2015 in Toa Baja, Puerto Rico. He’s my little big guy. He’s little in the sense that when I found him he was only one year old. He’s big in the sense that when we play around, I usually end up with black and blue marks on my body, lol.

I guess it’s true with they say, “Love Hurts”

But folks, it’s the good kind of pain and worth every bit of it. I love Rocky like a crazy potato too. He went from a homeless, frail, sick and tick infested stray dog, to the king of the hill. He’s so regal just like a king. Isn’t he?

Day 1312 here in Puerto Rico. Day 1001 since I rescued Rocky, and day 461 since I rescued Lucky.

In 1933, the United States was reeling. It was the fourth year of the Great Depression. Unemployment stood at 25%. A new and untested president had recently moved into the White House. It was a turbulent and uncertain time.

But amazingly, during America’s darkest hours, seven leaders of the veterinary profession came together to form one of the country’s greatest organizations: the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). It was and remains the only institution that accredits companion veterinary hospitals in the U.S. and Canada. It was built on the premise that pets deserve nothing less than the very best veterinary care.

Fast-forward to 2018. In 85 years, the country has changed in ways that were unimaginable in 1933. But AAHA has endured. Thrived. And today it is the most esteemed veterinary association in the country.

Tribute for Maine Coon, Ariyung

Tribute for Maine Coon, Ariyung

Tonight we pay tribute to Maine Coon Cat, Ariyung.

Good evening friends.

The world said goodbye to Ariyung on February 12th, 2018. She passed at 16 years old. Ariyung was a member of our friend, Kenkoi Jang & family from Southern California. Kenkoi had her since she was 5 weeks old.

Friends, as you know I’ve been writing tributes for both animals and people for years now. All of them are so personal and moving to me. But, three weeks ago when I saw Kenkoi’s post about Ariung’s passing, it almost put me on the floor. I could feel Kenkoi’s despair right through the screens.

I reached out to him this weekend and told him I’d be honored to put a tribute together for his beloved, Ariyung. So, here we are.

Let’s here what he had to say and then I’ll make some comments after.

Kenkoi was telling me that Ariyung was the most gentle and meticulously clean cat he’d ever known. Ariyung was extremely intelligent. She could shake hands, play dead, and knew her favorite treats by name. A mere mention of treats and she would head right over to the pantry.

“Maine Coons are supposed to be snow cats, Ariyung loved the fireplace and we lived in Southern California” said Kenkoi. He misses her running to the door to greet him every time he comes home. We can all relate to that I’m sure.

Kenkoi told me her name is an amalgam of Hebrew and Korean. Ari means light. Yung means eternity. He said “Like her name she will be the eternal light for the rest of my life”

I will close with a couple of comments now.

Thank you Kenkoi for giving Ariyung 16 amazing years. Thank you Ariyung for giving Kenkoi’s life a higher sense of purpose. Our animals do that for us.

The world is a better place because of the connection Kenkoi and Ariyung had. And now, we take that sacred connection and raise awareness that all animals deserve to have a great life.

We all know the expression, “Who Rescued Who?” – Well, there’s no better depiction of that saying than with Kenkoi and Ariyoung.

Let’s get some lighters and prayers in the comment section for one of the greatest love stories of all time.

No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen. Scott Smith for animals of the world.

Poppy Rocky Lucky Tuesday on February 27th, 2018

Happy PRL on February 27th, 2018

Good evening friends.

Happy Poppy Rocky Lucky Tuesday. A day and night field with hope and possibilities. Remember, if Poppy, Rocky and Lucky can make it, anyone can.

For all of our new friends, Poppy, Rocky and Lucky are 3 of our 7 dogs. The three of them had a very tough start in life. The odds of us all ending up together were zero. But somehow, today, we’re a Wolfpack of 8 including me. Owhoooo.

OK friends, let’s kick this night with two positive notions.

1. Anytime I’m just thinking about myself, I feel agitated. Whenever I’m thinking of others, I feel purposeful. Funny how that works.

2. The reason I put animals before people, is because people can take care of both, animals cannot.

Day 1136 here in Puerto Rico, yes, 1136. Today is day 822 since we rescued Rocky, and day 286 since we rescued Lucky.

Have a great night friends.

Because sometimes you meet an angel and don’t remember your life before them.

Say hello to my best friend of 43 years, Lloyd Lapidus from Florida, and his new rescue from Puerto Rico, Rocko. He’s a 4 month old Lab Mix and weighs 25 pounds. Tri-Country Humane in Florida organized the rescue.

A massive Congratulations to Rocko and the whole Lapidus family.

The odds of Rocko making it out of PR and into one of the greatest animal loving families around, were almost zero.

But as we’ve talked about before, sometimes all of the stars are aligned, and life hands you a gift that changes you forever.

Lloyd sent me many pictures that I’ll share with everyone over the next few weeks or so.

We want to thank Lloyd & Family for making the world a better place one animal at a time. Every time we rescue an animal, we create a miracle.

“I thought I rescued you. But, I think you rescued me”

Have a great night friends.

Have great day friends.
