Happy Poppy Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember if the Pops can do it, anyone can. I guess we can also say it’s Rocky Tuesday. The odds were completely stacked against him. Patrick was getting marked down in a stored for 8 straight months, and Rocky was literally living on the street.
Miracles are going on everyday. If you’re going through a lull, have faith and hang in there.
Remember what Elanor Roosevelt said; “When you feel you’ve come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on longer”
And remember one of Dr. Harp Seal’s quotes; “Everyday you wake up, you are one day closer to whats bother you, Not bothering you anymore” — Let that momentum help propel you when you feel down and out. Time will take care of it for you. Just hang in there.
OK friends, day 355 here in Puerto Rico, Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
Thank you for dropping by. Its always nice closing out the night with our friends. Every time I write for ELS, I feel like I’m inside of “Planet Love”, so thank you all for that.
Life was good today on December 28th, 2015. Thank you life for this Monday. I remember at the beginning of 2015 saying, I really want to turn “The Good News Channel” into something real, not just a concept. And here we are 30 features later of incredible people doing amazing things all over the world.
I’m not trying to toot my horn, I’m illustrating an example of following through. It’s fascinating to have thoughts in your head, and they actually getting it done and making it a reality. The bottom line is if you want something bad enough, do the work and you will have what you want. Wishing is nice, but how many featured stories would have landed by wishing for them ? The answer is zero.
I bring this up tonight because we are closing in on the end of year. In the new year, ELS has some other things we want to accomplish, and at the end of the 2016, I will be writing to all our friends about how we achieved our goals.
The most important thing is to enjoy the journey. Make sure that when you commit yourself to going after something that it will make you happy. Don’t just go after something to be right. I did that for years and years. Its a waste of our time and our energy.
Signing off from Puerto Rico, Scott Smith from Sammy & Family. Ice Cream time……
Sammy decided to take in a little nature at the beach. We love Sunday’s, its such a dreamy kind of day. Its a rare thing to see a 10 pound Pomeranian sitting by the beach reading a book. If I had not seen this myself I would never have believed it.
The only struggles he has reading his book is when its time to turn the page. That’s where Vanessa and I come in. We turn the pages for him, lol. By the way, don’t worry about him getting to hot with all his fur. The lounge chair and sun umbrella takes care of that.
OK, lets go back to basics about what Sunday Funday means. Sundays are a newspaper and coffee kind of morning. Its a very inquisitive kind of day. On Sunday’s we let imagination in the door and back into our lives. On Sundays, we get to be us again, the people we set out to be from the very beginning.
Day 353 here in Puerto Rico, and day 38 since we rescued Rocky (The literal underdog), Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
As you can see Sammy & The Hulk have two different styles of defense. Sammy’s Strategy is to kill them with kindness. The Hulk’s strategy is just to kill them.
Together they have formed a great collaboration. They have put together a two part system. The first part is when an enemy approaches, Sammy tries to kill them with kindness. If that does Not work, The Hulk steps in. You can imagine the rest. Let quote the Hulk to give you an idea. Here’s the quote; “Don’t Make me angry, you wouldn’t like me when I’m angry ”
OK friends, day 352 here in Puerto Rico, and day 37 since we rescued Rocky, Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
Hi friends. If you prefer to read this message, the text is just below the video here…. Enjoy !!
Good evening friends.
Thanks for stopping by. Happy Christmas Eve. Its funny, as soon as I say Christmas Eve, I can actually smell pine trees. In the past month we have said the word “Christmas so many times” that the dogs think its a new trigger word like the words “W-A-L-K” or “T-R-E-A-T-S — I have to spell that out because they are all sitting here and would start barking their heads off.
I remember Christmas Eve as being the most exciting night of the year. I was never able to sleep knowing I had all those presents waiting for me in the morning. I just wrote about this the other night. The only night that might have topped Christmas Eve was the night before I got my drivers license. When i turned 17 and was able to drive, I thought I was Heaven right then and there. No more of my mother dropping me at the movie theater in front all my friends and my girlfriend. Man i hated that.
OK, Day 350 here in Puerto Rico. Day 35 since we rescued Rocky on November 19th. When I look back on this year its nice to be able to say, I really had a happy year. In the past I had decades of looking back on any given year, and it always much worse at the end of the year then at the beginning. I guess that’s where the slogan; “The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing over and over again, and expecting different results” comes from.
Today I have a lot to be grateful for. Between Vanessa, our 6 dogs, who could Not be any happier, my father in law, and my family back home, our ELS family, only by the grace of God could this have happened. God can do for us what we can’t do for ourselves.
Friends I hope you can look back on 2015 as a happy one also. If you can’t, its not indicative of how 2016 will be. Keep Buddha’s quote in mind; “Each day we are born again, what we do today matters most”
From our family to all of your families around the world, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Signing off from Puerto Rico, Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
Sammy is getting his plane prepared for his trip to the North Pole tonight. As it turns out, some of Santa Claus’s Reindeer called in sick at the very last minute. Sammy has filled in as one of Santa’s reindeer several times already. Even so, anytime Santa reaches out to Sammy on Facebook, he gets very excited. Whenever Santa calls Sammy for help, his answer is always “Yes”
Santa Claus, his Reindeer and Elves are in the business of spreading goodwill. Sammy & Family likes that business. Christmas is a holiday if spreading goodwill. That’s what all the gift giving is all about.
Lastly, to all the pundits who say Santa Claus, Reindeer and Elves don’t exist, then how do you explain this reindeer in picture right here ? Do people honestly think this dog / reindeer is just doing a photo shoot or something ? That is utterly preposterous. He is getting ready to go to work. While we are sleeping tonight, this little reindeer will flying Santa all over the world giving out presents.
To deny this as a reality is like saying “Climate Change” doesn’t exist, lol. Silly Rabbits.
We will see you tonight friends. We’ll be doing another video / audio story for this evening’s post. Tune in at 8 pm.
Thank you for stopping by. Sammy & Family loves to be around the ELS family from all over the world. It really is a privilege to be surrounded by so many friends each night.
So, day 349 here in Puerto Rico and Day 34 since we rescued Rocky off the streets. Or should I say he rescued us. Sammy & Family is crazy about Rocky. He is a very special dog, not to mention the name Rocky is like the greatest name of all time, thanks to Sly Stallone.
OK, I am going to tell you my wish list for Christmas, whether for this year, or for any other.
1. I wish that Vanessa and I go meet the Harp Seals in Canada on the Ice Sheets. Its been a life long dream of mine.
2. I wish to organize a big ELS retreat in Puerto Rico for any of our friends that would like to join. It’s a perfect excuse to take a vacation.
3. I hope to my Sylvester Stallone one day, I really do.
And now, let’s lets close with two Positive notions.
1. Today was another gift from life. Whether it was a good day or not. We have to remember that many people that were here yesterday, did Not make today. And that can be anyone of us at anytime. So everyday we wake up is a gift.
2. We have to eradicate the term “Its not the right time” — You see when we want to do something, Its never feels like the right time, but its always the right time. Its not like Life is going to hit the pause button for us. We have make room for what we want into our lives.

Happy Wednesday. Day 349 here in Puerto Rico. Also day 34 since we rescued Rocky. We hope everyone is well this morning.
Dog tip 101; Never try to take a bone out of a Pit Bull’s mouth. All kidding aside, Rocky here is a gentle soul. He has no idea that he is a strong as a mini horse.
The same is to say, never stand behind a horse. If a horse decides to do a little back kick, you will be seeing stars, lol.
OK friends, we are deep into the holidays here. Like so deep you can feel the anticipation in the air. The only thing in my life that was more exciting than opening presents on Christmas morning, was the night before I was getting my driver’s license for the first time. #Yup.
See you tonight friends. Scott Smith for Sammy & Family.
