Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Tuesday. A day filled with Hope & Possibilities. Remember Patrick can do it, anyone can. Life was so stacked against him sometimes I can’t believe is here with him.

Friends today is about Poppy, please don’t be distracted by my bedroom eyes, lol.

OK, lets kick this Poppy Tuesday off with two Positive notions.

1. I don’t want into trees anymore. I walk around them. I don’t need to be right, I want to be happy.

2. Whoever that person was 30 years ago that said get rid of the anger, you were right. Replace anger with new experiences that make you happy. Let go of the past because even if you don’t, its not coming back for any of us.

I’ve been alive forever and I Wrote the very first Song

Good evening friends.

Its great to be here with everyone tonight on October 26th, 2015.

I am going to sing some Barry Manilow to my little boy. ♫♫♫ My home lies deep within you and I’ve got my own place in your soul. Now when I look out through your eyes, I’m young again, even thought I’m very old ♫♫♫

Thank you Sammy for lighting my life again and giving me purpose. Just like Mohammad Ali shook up the world in 1964 against Sonny Liston, Sammy shook up the world the past 5 years. He may not be as renown but he has lifted spirits all over the world.

Poppy the Giraffe for Halloween

Little Pops came by to spread his Halloween Spirit. He is wearing his Giraffe costume. Its funny because Poppy is 10 inches tall, and Giraffe’s can be up to 18 feet tall.

Still he wears rather well we think.

Sunday mornings are the greatest part of the week. Its the one morning we let imagination back int he door and into our lives. On Sunday’s we get to be us again, the people we set out to be in the very beginning.

Friday is so Reverent

Good morning friends.

It’s great to be participating in life October 23, 2015. Another gift today. Friday is such a genius how he always shows up right up on time. He’s so reverent. Obviously Friday can be a “She” also. Friday’s are for all of us.

Henry came by to wish you all a great day and to sport his new haircut. He kind of looks like Poppy now. Their personalities are so different that for me its still easy to tell who is who.

OK lets kick this day off with three Positive notions.

1. In a year from today, I want to look back on this very day and say to myself I did the right thing.

2. I have referenced Sylvester Stallone many times in this community as you all know. This man is the perfect example of Hope. If you ever read what he endured to breakthrough all the barriers that life threw at him, its literally astonishing. He basically said to life; “I’m all heart, the only way to keep me down is to kill me, because other than that I march forward”

3. Passion cannot be contained. Its an unshakable force. What’s your passion ?

Jo Ann and Sammy in the FlatIron District of NYC

Good morning friends.

Its great to be alive on October 22nd, 2015. It didn’t have to be this way, thank God that it is. This is Jo Ann and Sammy catching a great photo opp with the Empire State Building in background. My mother is 5 feet, 1 inch, and Sammy is one foot. So together they are 6.1 feet tall. Which is kind of odd because they look like they are half the size of the Empire State Building. I guess is what they mean when they say: “Optical Illusion”

OK friends, lets kick this day off with two Positive Notions.

1. Remember to the youngies out here, A.D.D. and ADHC is a gift, not a condition. It means you already know what the other person is trying to say before they say it, and you just want them to move onto the next topic.

2. Here’s what I say to someone who is fired up about something way to early in the morning; “Hey man, do you know where i can buy some frozen snickers around here ? That my friends is how you bring someone to an immediate halt and silence.

Day 285 here in Puerto Rico. I still have not progressed in speaking Spanish at all. I have improved my social media skills if that counts for anything. #Prioritizing

Dr Harp Seal with a special visit on October 21st, 2015

Good evening friends.

We have a special visitor from Dr Harp Seal tonight. You might want to think of his as a “Good News Channel” correspondent.

The doctor told me in life sometimes you have to fight for what you want. But he made the distinction to be sure its what you want. Fighting to be right is a lot different than fighting for what you want. Try not to let your ego blur vision with respect to that.

He went on to say, “The path to a better world flows through the humane treatment of all animals” — If we get that right it will trickle down positively through everything else.

This land is their land, this land is our land, this land is made for them and us.

Happy Poppy Tuesday on October 20, 2015

Good morning friends.

Happy Poppy Tuesday. A day filled with Hope and Possibilities. Remember, if the Pops can do it, anyone can. This is the Pops and I when we first came together. His heart was still bruised from his start in life at this point. He was still wondering wast this is his new home or is it just temporary.

He had known yet that he completed Sammy & Family. This was two year ago. And now the Pops is the star of our community every Tuesday. Not bad for a little boy that was lost in NYC and nobody wanted him. While we do have 4 other dogs that we love to death, I must admit I do favor Poppy. The rest of the crew are cool with that also. Its almost like our other dogs know Poppy had a very rough start in life.

I would literally in jump in front of a bus to save him no matter what the consequence. I could Not image a life without him. I’m starting to think its time to ramp up my tattoo collection, one for each dog we have. I just hope that doesn’t make people nervous when I start my frozen Snickers dreamson the beach, lol.

Good morning friends.. Dr. Harp Seal. Thank you for stopping.

So today let’st talk about young or feeling old. I have shared many times about a miserable human being until just about 39 years old. I’m not proud of that, but that’s how it was. I can tell you that in those first 39 years, I could not have felt any older Having found some happiness in my forties, I have never felt younger.

So in conclusion, if your feeling old, my prescription is that you seek happiness immediately. If you don’t know what makes you happy yet, that’s OK, for the purposes of this message, I just want to emphasis, it has nothing to do with age. When you start feeling happy, you’ll start feeling younger. Guaranteed.

Sunday with Sammy and a happy Quokka

Happy Sunday Funday. Sammy and his Quokka friend stopped by to wish you all a great day. They say that “Quokka’s are on of the happiest animals alive” — They are known to have great dispositions and temperaments. Quokka’a are from Australia.

Sammy & Family love Sunday mornings. Its the morning where we let imagination in the door and back into our lives. Sunday is where we get to be us again, the people we set out to be from the very beginning.

OK, lets kick this day off with two positive notions.

1. Being its Sunday I plan on doing a whole lotta of nothing today.

2. Being its Sunday, we have an excuse not to shower today.

Debbie Gibson Does It Her Way

Sammy & Family is thrilled to have the one and only Debbie Gibson featured on “The Good News Channel” — We have been major fans of Debbie since the beginning of her career in the mid 1980’s all the way through her professional life now in 2015. We are “DebHeads” and nothing is going to change that. The world is a better place with Debbie Gibson in it. She been making people happy from continent to continent for 30 years now. Wow.

Two sensations from the 80’s, Debbie Gibson and the Rubix Cube. The only difference is Debbie Gibson is also a sensation in the new millennium. The Rubix cube is still dated back in the 1980’s. And full disclosure, still impossible for many to solve. Photo Credit: Troy Smith Photography

As I’ve told many of our friends from around the world, I originally grew up in Long Island, New York. To me, Long Island only had 4 things going on. We had Billy Joel, the Piano man, Debbie Gibson, The Piano girl, the Miracle Mile for shopping and The Roosevelt Mall for more shopping. That is how I saw Long Island. And as we all remember Debbie was a major fan of Billy Joel, and he was a big part of what inspired her career from the very beginning. As a matter of fact, she was even brought on stage once by the Piano Man himself to duet and play keys on “Keeping The Faith” at the Nassau Coliseum.

Let me take it a step further. Every guy on Long Island, whether you knew Debbie or not, had a crush on her. You see with me, my crush never left. I still have it even as a married man. A quick funny story, right before my wife and I got married on June 15th, 2013, I told my wife to be at that time, there is one stipulation to this marriage. I told her about my crush on Debbie and its non negotiable. The crush goes to the grave with me. My wife to be said to me, “that is a very strange thing to say to someone right before you’re going to marry them” — And I knew it was, but I’m a DebHead, and DebHeads hold their ground. So Vanessa, my wife to be said, “Scott it’s kind of funny you mentioned that because I too have a stipulation to this marriage. She said “I have a non negotiable crush on Leonardo Dicaprio and I insist we see every movie that he comes out with, as well as watch him on any movie playing on cable, on any given night.“
