Happy Birthday Rosie Carraha, one of Sammy & Family’s first friends

Happy Birthday Rosie

Good evening friends.

Tonight we have a special birthday post for our great friend Rosie Carraha.  She is one of Sammy & Family’s very first friends.   She used to look after Sammy for me when I was at work, or keep him overnight when I was not able to get home.

She is the very first person I allowed Sammy to be alone with and trusted completely.  Rosie is originally from Brazil and has lived in New York past 10 years or so.  This picture in the post is about 10 years ago. Wow, how time flies.  You card hardly see him in the picture, he is on the bottom left.

I remember when Sammy first became a so called “Man” — In NYC they these things call “Dog Runs” which are enclosures in certain many areas in the city usually surrounded by a fence.  You can find a great one in Union Square Park and Madison Square Park.  Anyhow, I was living over on 38th Street and first Avenue near the United Nations.  Well a few blocks away actually.  And on 42nd street between First and Second Avenue they had a dog run right on the sidewalk.  Rosie were walking Sammy together and decided to take him in there to see how he did with other dogs.  It was his first time around a lot of dogs together.

One particular dog in the Dog-Run was just a little overbearing and Sammy started Growling at him.  He was one years old, maybe 5 pounds and I was quite impressed with my little boy.  Rosie and I laughed because we knew that was the day he learned to stick up for himself.

With the said, The Smith Family and Sammy & Family absolutely loves Rosie and her entire family. We hope she had a spectacular birthday and many more to come.

Sincerely and with Love, Scott Smith.
