Happy Saturday Friends, welcome to Movie Rewrite night. Tonight we are rewriting “City Of Angels”. Before you read the rewrite, please take a moment to acknowledge the artwork designed by Alexandra Garcy’s Gallery. This artwork is an image of the solution to the Rewrite. Alexandra Garcy is Jessica’s 13 year old daughter and Scott’s niece.
In the rewrite we are going to start right at the scene where Meg Ryan has her bicycle accident with the truck. Nicolas Cage now has Meg dying in his arms and he is pleading with the surrounding angels that he once was , to please let her live, after all he gave up his immortality for this women. The angels said “we don’t make deals like that, it’s her time.” and consequently, they take her. Now that Meg has become an angel, she recalls a conversation with a patient from the past ” The former NYPD BLUE actor ” and remembers the conversation they had. He told her that Nicolas was able to come back to life because he took a leap of faith. When she thought of that, she immediately remembered what Anthony Robins the personal life coach always used to say. “Don’t reinvent the wheel, use what already worked.” A light went off in her head and she knew exactly what she had to do. She had to take a leap of faith now and 48 hours later they were back together.
So Meg was right when she said “We were made to fit together”. The former actor from NYPD BLUE was also right when he said “Free will is a gift”. There was nothing to stop these two now. Meg learned that the only thing you can control in your life is yourself and to do the best you can and from there, everything else is in gods hands and Nicolas who almost gave up immortality for nothing, had been restored.
Just as the original movie always stated, ” Some thing’s are true whether you believe in them or not. ” Makes us remember the lyrics that Sarah Mclachlan sang ♫♫♫ You’re in the arms of the angel, may you find some comfort here. ♫♫♫ and yes its true, sometimes you have to give up forever, to touch someone, and when you do its the most rewarding of all. The End. The movie still would have been great.
