Goodnight everybody. We are coasting through the week, even though it may be hard going to work and getting things done, during these hot summer months. The heat can be draining and it can also be deadly. Please Stay hydrated at all times and keep your pets hydrated as well.
We want to start out our prayers tonight by praying for our friend Millie Bryant and her precious “Miss Brittany”. Millie had to hold her little girl while she crossed the rainbow bridge, just this week. Miss Brittany was Millie’s sister in laws dog originally, but was Millie’s for the last four years because her sister in law was traveling a lot. To say that Millie fell in love with Miss Brittany, is an understatement. She is heartbroken and longing for her baby. Millie did the most selfless thing a person can do for their dog, by putting her out of her suffering. Miss Brittany was an older dog and had many health issues because of it.
God bless Miss Brittany as she runs through the open green fields of heaven, where she is young again and will always be. God please comfort Millie at this incredibly painful time. Take Millie’s pain away with the knowledge that even death cannot extinguish the love of a best friend.
We are here for you Millie. Anything that you need, we are here to help. Thank you Millie for being just the angel that Miss Brittany needed.
Thank you to all, for the prayers for our Mother Joann. Her ankle surgery went well, but the recovery will be challenging. The doctor said that they had to put a metal plate into her ankle because it was a really bad break. They also had to put in pins and screws. She won’t be able to walk on it for up to six weeks and she will need a walker and assistance even for the simplest tasks. She’s already ready to get out of the hospital and told the doctor that she has “things to do” . She’s a very tough Sicilian woman . She’s pretty much unstoppable.
We end our prayers tonight, with hope for a better world. We pray for a return to humanity and to empathy, which seem to be getting lost in this world that we are living in. Nothing in this life means more than love, compassion and kindness. It is only these acts, that will live on when we are gone. It is only these things, that will be our living legacy. Treat all living things with kindness, always.
No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.
Love from,
Jessica Lee Smith,
