Goodnight animal lovers. This weather is quite unpredictable. It seems as if no matter how many winters you go through, you can never be sure what the next one will bring. Some winters, you wonder what happened and its almost as if it passes without much of a winter at all. Then there are years such as this, where the winters are harsh and volatile with sprinkles of peaceful spring like days.
There are so many people and animals wandering and searching, with no home to go to. No warm, safe place to sleep. No loved ones waiting at home for them.
There are spirits that are broken that walk around this world, amongst us. People we work with, people in our families, friends who need us. Let us never forget those people in our prayers tonight. Those less fortunate. Those at a crossroads in their lives. Those in danger, every day in uprising countries. Children too young to even comprehend of death, lost to disease, starvation and as casualties of war. We pray for an end to all of this suffering. We send our love to those that find themselves in these situations. All life should be valued and treasured.
We pray once again, for a return to humanity. For a world where all living beings are given the opportunity to love and be loved. Where goodness is king and kindness is the motivation behind all deeds.
Special prayers going out for Coconut, a senior maltipoo, who lost his eye after being attacked by another dog. We pray for the strength and support of the child that loves him the most. May this angel recover fully and go on to live a full and happy life with his loved ones. May they all heal from the very traumatic incident.
We continue to send prayers out for our dear friends, Peanut Pumpkin Pie and Helen Lewis. Peanut Pumpkin Pie and his Mother are very special to us. We pray for an end to any sickness or pain that precious Peanut may be enduring. Peanut is angel that is very much needed and very much loved. We pray for Helen, for comfort for her heavy heart.
Also, we continue our prayers for Dixie and her Mother Jaye, Matriarch of the of our favorite family, the Lewis’s. Like Helen and her sister Jenny, Jaye has been a gift to us as well. We pray for her Dixie and Dixie’s return to total health.
And to all of the animals , all over this world, wild or domestic, being abused, abandoned, neglected and brutalized, your voices will not go unheard. We pray for you tonight as we do every night. God did not put these beautiful angels here to be treated this way. No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed. Amen.
Love, Jessica Lee Smith
