Good evening friends.
On September 4th, 2015, the world said goodbye to an angel named Lil Olive. This little soldier was a puppy mill dog for 12.5 years. She gave birth to hundreds of puppies for profits for greedy non animal loving people. Most of the 12 plus years she spent in a cage. She had a life of horror and despair. And God knows where all those litters of dogs she gave birth to ended up.
Sammy & Family would like to take a moment to say to these greedy people who treated her like a couch, or a lamp, something meaningless for over 12 years. My name is Scott Smith, I run the “Everybody Loves Sammy” online community, and I can’t and wont sugarcoat this; “to the profitable pro-creators, you make me sick to my stomach. You bring nothing but garbage to the world. All of you behind these kind of ruthless operations are negative wheels of existence. You add up to a net negative to the world. Why are you here?”
Back to Lil Olive. This is right from there description of their Facebook page. I would praise two God sent Angels named Pam and Kevin who showed Lil Olive 5 years of love before she left this life. Here’s what they had to say from their FB page;
“Mommy and I opened this Facebook site. I want to teach people that puppy mills are bad places! I am 17 years old right now, or close to that. I was a puppy mill dog for 12.5 years. I had over 20 litters in my lil life and that adds up to hundreds of babies…and lots of money for some very mean people. I have a lot of physical and mental scars because of my time in a puppy mill.
When I was rescued I had a very big mammary tumor and I was so old and so weak they decided to let me live out my time in comfort and not stitches, so I went to a hospice foster home. But I fooled everyone! I got stronger and stronger so I had my surgery! Not only did I survive I thrived! I have a lot of bone loss on the right side of my face and no teeth over there so my tongue hangs out pretty much most of the time, but Mommy says it adds character! My lil tail had been broken at least twice so it bends in a weird direction, and I really dont have a lot of hair.
The vet thinks at one point my trachea was injured so when I get scared I make a little wheezing sound. Humans were never nice to me, so I am VERY timid…I get scared of loud noises. But my Mommy and Daddy have shown me that human hands can be gentle and loving. Now I live with Mommy and Daddy. I have a pug sister named Blanche, shes 8..My Doxie brother, Otto, sadly went to the rainbow Bridge in Aug 2013….I loved him very much….I have a new sissy, Agnes, she is and Italian Greyhound like me!! Agnes was in a Puppy Mill for 9 years. She has only 3 teeth…all molars in the the very back so her tongue hangs out on the side like mine.
She was bred every time she went in heat and had many many litters. Like me, her babies were taken from her at a young age.Agnes had been c-sectioned with no anesthesia and because of that horror she is EXTREMELY scared and timid. She is afraid of humans and is learning slowly that most humans have kind and loving hands. She is very bonded with me and we are together all the time. She has recently taken to following Mom around the house. Because of all of her C-Sections she has many UTI’s. Agnes is learning about being loved and cherished now and will never feel pain or fear ever again. We just got another sister and she is named Hazel!! She is 11 years old and had only been out of the mill for two months before we brought her home.
She is VERY timid and scared she is still learning all about living in a home. She is doing great!!! AND we think she is a BIG Daddy’s girl hehe She LOVES Daddy so so much!!! She is a beautiful lil “blue” Iggy and we love her very much. Hazel LOVES to stack so we all cuddle all day long! Hazel, like Agnes and I, has only 3 teeth, so her tongue is slowly beginning to hang out. Mommy says that our Supatongues ROCK!!! Hazel will never know pain or abuse ever again and she is very loved by all of us. My Mommy baby sits my human sisters doggy and kitty.
So I count them as sisters…Harper is a rescue Pom, shes about 10 and Alice is my kitty sister…shes 5 and a tad bit crazy lol…..My life is beautiful now and I am so happy! Our family loves us very much and Mommy bought us some of the nicest warm jammies, cause we get super duper cold! We have soft beds by the fire and now I am even so brave I sleep on the BIG soft and comfy bed with Mommy, Daddy, and Blanche! Agnes and Hazel are still to scared to sleep on the big bed, so Mommy made them a soft heated bed and they sleep right next to the big bed.
We hope they will soon feel secure enough to sleep up with us!! My Mommy tells us every day that we are beautiful and lovely!! We are some of the lucky puppy mill dogs because now we have our forever home….but our dream is that puppy mills would be gone forever and no other pups would have to suffer like we did….so PLEASE do not buy from Pet Stores or random “breeders” online! Please…. Speak for those who have no voice!! Enjoy our page!!!
* Sadly our Lill Olive passed away on Sept. 4, 2015 at the age of 17 years. She had endure so many years of neglect and horror that her tiny body wore out. Her spirit was strong! Her passing has left a huge hole in our hearts, souls and lives. Olive is finally running in heaven, something she was denied for her entire life time here on earth. I know she is loving her new whole body. I feel her close to me every moment of every day and will for the rest of my life. Olive will be forever missed….Olive will be forever remembered..
Olive changed my life for the better and no day will pass that I won’t mourn her loss and celebrate her love. I know I will see her again some day and she will run into my arms and I will kiss her tiny head forever….until then I want to say I will see you again some day….I will fight in YOUR name to stop abuse and neglect of precious animals….I will Speak for those who have NO voice……I am OLIVE STRONG!
