Great News from EU on maintains the Sealing Ban; Still questions remain

EU maintains ban on Sealing Industry

Good evening friends.

We hope everyone had a nice weekend. Dr. Harp Seal  & family wanted so share some great news for Harp Seals that was announced on September 8th, 2015 from the Humane Society’s FB Page. This picture also comes from their Facebook page.

Here’s the news below, then we will just make a few comments on it.

“Good news: Today, the European Parliament voted overwhelmingly to strengthen the EU ban on trade in seal products, just days after the European Court of Justice dismissed a final appeal by the sealing industry that sought to annul the ban. This means that a huge market will remain closed to products of commercial sealing!”

That is good news because the Seal Clubbers tried to lift the ban and the EU held their ground.  Dr. Harp Seal did an audio on this a few months back if you remember. Sealing is a dying industry and has been for years. Nobody is buying the Fur anymore because the outrage about the brutality inflicted on these baby seas.  The audio is at the end of this post if you would like to hear it….

We still question three things,

1. Why does Canada still subsidize a dying industry ?

2. Cant Canada just write a check the Seal Clubbers to Not kill the seals so they get their money anyway ? Another words, if Canada is forking up some subsidies for a dying industry to continue, we say, fork up the money and leave the seals alone. Sammy & Family is not understanding that one, we really are not.

3. DrHarpSeal & Family wants to drill this point home; even if the ‪SealingIndustry was booming with record profits, it still should have NEVER been allowed.

The Memo from God and Mother Nature

I never got the memo that we can play God or Mother Nature with respect to what animals live and which die, and by what numbers.

Good evening friends. We hope everyone had a happy Poppy Tuesday.  Life was good today on July 21st, 2015, it didn’t have to be that way.  Thank God that it is.

You know we have been doing different kind of posts at night and such, I want to promise all our animal loving friends, we never take our eye off the injustices inflicted on our animal friends around the world.  When the time is right I will hit those topics hard like I did with “Where Is the Geneva Convention for Animals?”  — Or “The Second Amendment from the Perspective of an Animal” and many,many more on Youtube and SoundCloud.

At the same token, in conveying our messages for the animals with no voice to defend themselves, Sammy & Family is not here to bring our animal loving friends from around the world down. So its a pick and choose your battles kind of things.  Having said that, animal equality, kindness, rescue and welfare remain the forefront of our voice.

Remember, the only thing it means that people are smarter than animals, is that people are smarter than animals, it means nothing more.  I would love to see the memo or email from God or Mother Nature that says we can decide which animals live and die and by which numbers.  I was never CC’ed on that.  Yes I know, I will check spam.

OK friends, lets close tonight with two messages for our animals friends all over the world.

1. The path to a better world flows through the humane treatment of all animals.

2. Rescuing an animal and bringing them into your home presents such a higher sense of purpose like some have never experienced.  You will be saving a life, and they will make your life.  We call that a Win, Win.

So today, lets talk about how the concept and realities of the Placebo effect will help us live longer.  Some might call this mad science, but remember what the late great Steve Jobs said; ” Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the one’s who see things differently.

So again, a Placebo is anything that seems to be a real medical treatment.  It could be a pill, a shot, or other fake type treatments. Researchers use Placebo’s in actual test studies to compare the results with the patients that were administered the real treatment.

Presence of Mind Audio by Dr. Harp Seal

So today, let’s talk about the term “Presence of mind” I love this term, its very powerful.

We here it a lot with athletes. The interesting thing about presence of mind is you cant see it or predict it, but you have to have faith in it.

For example. Take a trauma surgeon. Every night the Doctor has no idea whats coming through that door, all kind of injuries for all kinds of reasons. The only thing the Doctor knows is that no matter what comes through that door, they will rise to the occasion because of presence of mind.

Here is another example. Take a person who does not know how to swim. Say he falls out of a row boat 10 feet from shore, not that far, but still he has no idea how to swim, so he’s in danger.

Now lets add one extra detail to this example. Suppose after he falls out of the row boat, he sees a couple of sharks headed his way, guess what this non swimmer is going to do ?

This non swimmer is going to become a Free style Olympic swimmer for 10 feet to reach that shore.

So the point is, we all have the power of presence of mind. Just understand, you cant activate it unless its a truly need.

Hi friends.  Dr. Harp Seal here.   I want to make some comments on hunting.   Please allow me to clarity a misconception. Hunting is not a sport.  A sport requires two teams that want to play. I am 100 percent certain animals do not want to play this sport. Stop the obsession with guns and killing animals. Its so arrogant, its so cowardly, why should these innocent animals die because some people consider hunting a hobby ?  Lets define what hunting really is; its the act of taking a life that is not yours to take.
