Good evening everyone.
Jessica Smith here. The weekend is finally here. We really hope that the week went well for all of you, and that you have a very relaxing few days ahead, surrounded by those you love the most. Enjoy these last few weeks of the warmer weather while you can. Get outdoors as much as possible. We are getting further into the fall, and the colder weather is not far off.
Tonight our very dear friend, Joan Kutchmanich and her Brother and family, are nursing a broken heart. Joan has written a beautiful tribute to her Brothers Cat, Buttons below. We send them our love and prayers at this very difficult time. Please take a moment to read her tribute below.
“My brother’s kitty, Buttons went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday afternoon. She was a beautiful kitty. He found her as a stray that somebody just left off. He spotted her In a yard behind his house. He put out some food and Water for her. The next day the same but only closer. Soon she went into the home he had built fo another two strays. They found homes. So no one was in the kitty house. It even had a heated pad. After a couple of months he found out she had been declawed. Then he brought her inside . She stayed in the enclosed porch. She had a warm place to stay. He kept the door open so she could come into his tv room. She liked to sit on his lap. At night he kept the door closed because his wife is allergic to cats. He took really good care of her. She was with him for 4 years. He thought she was a few years old but the vet said she was in her teens. I was there for his 25th wedding party.
I sat with her for a while , petting her and giving some comfort. I knew she was very sick. I kept petting her and gave her a kiss on her little head. I knew it would be the last time I would see her. There was nothing more the vet could do, and they said it was time . My brother held her while she went to the Rainbow Bridge. We are all heart broken. My brother’s name is Michael. He gave Buttons a very good home and life. He made sure she had every comfort. And I’m sure he will rescue another kitty. Thank you for reading this.”
We’d like to thank Joan for this very loving tribute ❤️. God bless Buttons.
Have a lovely night everyone.
No lives will go in vain. No pain will go unnoticed.
️Amen.
Love from,
Jessica Lee Smith,
